What is technology and Evolution of technology

What is technology?

When you think about the word "technology" it's hard to tell what exactly it means, you can look up various definitions, the most common being that technology refers to the application and processing of material in pursuit of a goal. We also know that technology is a process where the end result is achieved, but the process is not easy in many ways. The main idea here is the process that involves the development and usage of the physical aspect of human invention and creation. You might be wondering why the name 'technology' contains such an abstract term. It is a branch of science with no specific field or purpose, so why are we calling it this?

A brief history of technology

The first recorded use of technology was by humans as a method for communication. In Mesopotamia, they had developed a writing system using clay tablets, and that technology has become more advanced over time. By early 1200BC the Romans used water bottles or jars to pass secret messages; they even used beeswax to make them. For example, one famous Ancient Roman historian called himself “that great man of ancient Rome” had written books on history. However, his knowledge wasn't very practical, because he didn't have an encyclopedia yet, and therefore, he relied on others' knowledge for it. But, at least for now, writing was good enough, because he could make copies of every book he wrote.

The second major use of technology is transportation. Even though the road system in some parts of Europe was terrible and primitive, people were still able to find food if they had someone to travel for them. As soon as a horse was invented transportation became much easier. Before Christopher Columbus started his voyage from Spain to America he had already invented the compass, as well as mapmaking and astronomical observations which all changed the world by then. One of his greatest inventions was that he was able to use natural resources like sea currents, tides, and winds to create accurate charts and graphs.

What is technology and Evolution of technology

Evolution of technology

As you can see, transport was the main innovation that brought the world into the modern era. Transportation brought people closer together, the more powerful the better the faster the world was changing. Transport continues to be such an important part of our lives, that we don't notice anymore how it is created and is handled by modern people. People rely mostly on computers, phones, cars, and ships to live and work; it's probably the most important invention of this century. Our technology nowadays is constantly evolving and progressing through different things we find every day or daily tasks.

What was once seen as useless has turned out to be a lot more? A classic example of that is self-driving cars. They're getting smarter and faster and their control has improved a lot over previous years. Thanks to artificial intelligence and machine learning these cars, we can predict what roads will be taken up ahead, and what traffic will be there. In fact, self-driving car is now so advanced and advanced that it doesn't need human supervision and control in order to drive themselves. Most of the time human drivers are required only when there are certain unforeseen circumstances. If your car drives over a line, its driver will spot it and break in place. This is also a little scary because you might not understand what it means when something happens that makes you stop in front of the vehicle. Well, we are moving forward with self-driving cars, and you should see what's coming.

Conclusion

That's really all, the main point, technology is advancing way faster than ever before. It has given us so much so fast the amount of information we have is increasing. With that, we've made our life so convenient that nothing takes more than 30 seconds, this is a reason to believe that everything we need is right there around our house. Nowadays, almost everything is available online, and even with that accessibility, we still want to go out and experience how that new thing works, instead of relying on the old methods and tools that we used.If you learn about marketing then CLICK
